This book is great! I found it randomly while browsing Amazon and I was pleasantly surprised. I really wish there was a book dedicated to any of the bands featured in Misery Obscura. Eerie Von did an amazing job putting this together and if you haven’t already, then I recommend you check out Samhain’s music (Initium and November Coming Fire are my favorites) and Dazing II & III.
If you want to pick up a copy of this great book for yourself, then check out the link below (and no, this isn’t a sponsored review. I made it because I wanted to):
This video was unplanned. I’ve seen many unboxing videos from other goth youtubers over the years and I thought people might be interested in watching me open this package. That’s pretty much it, it’s a very straightforward video.
What a great album! I have wanted to cover a Type O Negative album for a looonnngg time, but it is very difficult to objectively review albums from your favorite band. I actually learned a few new things while doing research. One thing I din’t mention in this video is the Bloody Kisses demos. The demo for We Hate Everyone is AMAZING! I actually like it more than the album version.
This is still one of my favorite videos. I’ll be honest and say that I’m not really that fond of travelling anywhere, but it was really great to talk with everyone involved. I have a lot of memories attached to Release the Bats (some good and some bad), and I’m glad I got a chance to try and document what it was really like.
This actually took a lot of time to edit together. I filmed the interview footage in May of 2018 and I didn’t release the video until October 2018. It’s always difficult to do these types of videos because I try to tell the history of the subject while also giving my impressions of social event. It’s not quite as straightforward as an album or book review.
I lived in Orange County for a number of years and you would always see those tiny flyers or posts online about Release the Bats. Your friend would call you up and ask if we were all going and how could you possibly say no? It’s weird that we can’t go to Bats anymore, but I’m glad that as of writing this post, Dave and Jenn are organizing other great events.
What a strange cartoon. I think a majority of people either didn’t know this existed or had very little knowledge of it. It really wasn’t that fun to watch, but it must have been someone’s favorite cartoon at some point, right?
A new album from members of Bauhaus, Tones On Tail, and Love and Rockets? Well let’s see what all the hubbub is about.
This was again a video I almost didn’t release. It’s not that I didn’t have a lot to say on the subject, but sometimes doing album reviews are difficult because people are passionate about music and I’ve found they’re much less flexible on outside opinions compared to movies, books, and television shows. Anyway, I released it and people seemed to like it.
This is still one of my favorite videos that I’ve ever produced. It did take a really long time to put together, but to me it was worth it. There probably one or two more things I could have added to it, but all in all this really encapsulates my feelings on the show.
I really don’t know how I keep making almost 20 minutes long. I seriously thought this was going to be about 6 minutes long. I had some personal stuff going on so this took a bit longer to get out. Sweeney Deville was great to work with and you should check out his videos and music. We actually didn’t talk that much behind the scenes, it just kinda worked out.
This is my video in celebration of World Goth Day! Hands down, the most Goth Day in the world…right?
I was working on this video this Saturday and I thought it was the 17th. The date was actually the 19th. Then I panicked, paused The Office and finished this video. I hope you enjoy World Goth Day and I’m still baffled as to how this video ended up being 15 minutes long.
