It’s been a long time since I’ve put out a long retrospective like this…well here it is. The first podcast I’ve done that is also a video. I like how this turned out, but I have a lot of ideas going forward that will make it a bit different. I hope you enjoy finally getting a new podcast. We’re working on some more already.
We cover the often underrated and very misunderstood Lords of the New Church. A supergroup with members of The Dead Boys and The Damned. Truly a unique band with a very unusual tone .We cover the Debut Album [1982], Is Nothing Sacred? [1983], The Method To Our Madness [1984], and Hang On [2003].

This reunion episode brings back Robbie Gore as the original GothCast duo break down some lesser talked about albums from the Valor Kand era of Christian Death. It’s one of the more interesting eras of the group as two competing versions of the band were releasing material sometimes within the same year. They cover the albums Insanus, Ultio, Proditio, Misericordiaque (1990), Sexy Death God (1994), Prophecies (1996), and well…one more from 1998. This one gets a little strange, but that’s nothing new to this podcast.

I took a trip to California and did some thrifting. There were plenty of thrift stores to choose from and the temperature was way too hot for me. I definitely prefer an overcast rainy day. This video was more of an experiment to see if people wanted to see similar episodes. It seems to have gone over well so I guess I’ll make more.
On a technical note, editing this video was a nightmare. It took way longer than expected, but that’s probably because I’m such a perfectionist.

Wait…what? A new episode of the GothCast Podcast!? That’s right! I’ve been itching to record an episode for a long time and my friend Bryan has taken on the brave task of being my cohost. The episode ending up being a strange one for a return because The Danse Society are tough to review. Anyway, let me know what you guys think and we’re definitely working on more.

This is my video in celebration of World Goth Day! Hands down, the most Goth Day in the world…right?
I was working on this video this Saturday and I thought it was the 17th. The date was actually the 19th. Then I panicked, paused The Office and finished this video. I hope you enjoy World Goth Day and I’m still baffled as to how this video ended up being 15 minutes long.
