This week we take a look at a more obscure band, And Also the Trees. Although they do have a following, they are certainly not a band that’s frequently discussed. Consequently, we felt it would be interesting to discuss their career, especially considering their ties to The Cure (something we discuss on the episode). In this episode, we review their first four albums, And Also the Trees, Virus Meadow, The Millpond Years, Farewell to the Shade. We hope you enjoy this episode and, as always, stay spooky.

In this episode we continue our review of the The Cure’s career as we discuss the trajectory of their music over the course of the mid to late eighties. We begin by our review with The Top [1984] and end with Disintegration [1989]. This half of the decade was a huge critical and commercial success for the band and generated many hits that are still popular on modern radio today. It was also a time where the band was defining their signature sound that many think of when discussing The Cure.
The Cure Tour
The Cure have announced that they will be doing a twenty-five date tour of North America. LA, Chicago, and NYC have been the first three dates announced. They will be playing Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl on May 22nd, Chicago at the UIC Pavillion on June 10th, and New York City at Madison Square Garden on June 18th. Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting October 9th at 10AM. Dr. Sanders and I will be trying to get tickets and we encourage you to do the same as this is a rare occasion and one certainly worth seeing. Hopefully, we might see some of you there.
